Films   Information TAUBE FOUNDATION'S JEWISH HERITAGE TOURS THE OTHER EUROPEANS European project   Friends		Cukunft Cukunft is the Polish spelling of Tsukunft, the Yiddish word for “the future.” The guitarist Raphael Roginski founded the group as a way of continuing the tradition of the Jewish music of Eastern Europe in all its richness and all its varieties. The band plays prewar works in a new interpretation, while also composing original numbers that draw on the whole spectrum of Jewish music; for Cukunft, this music remains alive today. The repertoire has arisen spontaneously, but is based on musicological and sociological research.
