It is intended for beginners. The goal is to acquaint participants with the basics of the language used by Israelis today. Maciej Tomal, 43, is a scholar of Hebrew and director of the Hebrew Department at the University of Warsaw Orientalism Institute. He is the author of the prayer anthology Jak modlą się Żydzi [How Jews Pray, 2000], the monograph Język hebrajski biblijny [The Biblical Hebrew Language, 2000], and a translation of Chaim Nachman Bialik’s poetry, Blask [Splendor, 2005]. back
