However, if we go more deeply into them with the use of the proper interpretative key, they turn out – and this is the most fascinating thing about them – to be profound metaphors about the world and its structure,” Henryk Halkowski wrote in his book about Rabbi Nachman of Bratzlav. These new illustrations refer to three tales: “The Seven Beggars,” “The Cripple,” and “The Changed Children.” Their artistic form is associated with older illustrations. back
