For eight generations, Ben Zion David’s family has been involved with Yemenite jewellery and decorative iron working. At the age of ten, Ben Zion David was already helping his father to weave silver threads.

In earlier days, the way to obtain Yemenite jewellery was to take five silver coins to the blacksmith, who melted three of them down for the jewellery and kept the other two as payment for his work.

Ben Zion David still follows the traditional methods for making silver jewelry. His work can be seen at exhibitions and in museums in Israel and the USA.
